All Headzup helmets fit head circumferences of 48–52 cm, which suits most children aged 3 to 12/13 years. To measure your child’s head: wrap a soft tape measure around their head, about 1 cm above their eyebrows and ears. That number is their head circumference.
Every helmet has a rotating dial at the back. Turn it clockwise to tighten and anticlockwise to loosen. The helmet should sit level on the head (not tipped back), with the front edge about 2 fingers above the eyebrows. It should feel snug but not uncomfortable — if your child can shake it off, it needs tightening.
Our helmets are designed for ages 3 and above. For children under 3, head proportions are different and we’d recommend waiting until they’re 3 or confirming the head circumference is above 48 cm before ordering.
All Headzup helmets carry U.S. CPSC (Consumer Product Safety Commission) and EU EN1078 certifications — the same standards used by leading international helmet brands. These cover impact protection, strap strength, and coverage area.
In-mold construction means the outer PC shell and the inner EPS foam are fused together in a single manufacturing step — the helmet is one solid piece, not assembled from separate parts. This makes the helmet stronger, lighter, and more impact-resistant than helmets built by gluing components together.
EPS (Expanded Polystyrene) is the industry-standard material for helmet liners because it absorbs and disperses impact energy extremely well while remaining lightweight. We specifically use high-density American EPS, which has a finer, more consistent cell structure than standard EPS — this gives better shock absorption per gram of material.
Yes — always replace a helmet after a significant impact, even if there’s no visible damage. The EPS liner works by crushing on impact. Once crushed, it cannot absorb another impact effectively. This applies to all helmets, not just ours. If in doubt, replace it.

Some colour variants go out of stock temporarily. WhatsApp us with the helmet name and colour you want and we’ll tell you the expected restock date or suggest the closest available alternative.
The Lifetime Warranty covers manufacturing defects in materials or workmanship for the original purchaser. It does not cover impact damage, normal wear and tear, or cosmetic damage. See our full Lifetime Warranty page for the complete terms.
Wipe the outer shell with a damp cloth and mild soap. The inner padding can be removed and hand-washed with mild detergent — let it air dry completely before reassembling. Do not use harsh chemicals, solvents, or submerge the helmet in water.
The night tail light uses a standard CR2032 lithium coin cell battery. To replace it, slide open the battery compartment on the rear light unit, swap the battery, and click it closed. Replacement batteries are available at any pharmacy or electronics shop in India.
